Alimentos Turrialba was created in 2005 after a Costa Rican family acquired three companies of the local food industry: Productos Herla, Embutidos Turrialba and Tico Especias y Condimentos. The consolidation of these three companies in the group AT gave a young and motivated team the perfect tools to invest in technology and to process top quality products at very competitive prices for the Food Service segment. In 2008 the company invested in a new production facility with the highest quality standards available, as well as a Research and Development lab in order to customize products for clients in any one of the target markets reached:
Currently AT has a workforce of 65 men and women as well as an exemplary production facility in the Central American region. Due to the growth and requirements from the global food industry, the company has decided to invest in the SQF certification, recognized by the GFSI (Global Food Safety Initiative), international platform for quality and standardization of food processing.
